How to make yam pepper soup

Ingredients


1 tuber of yam

1 or 2 scotch bonnet

1 onion

1 bell pepper

seasoning (1 cube of Knorr chicken and salt)

pepper soup spice

a handful of dried scent leaves

Assorted meat (abodi, beef, shaki, cow leg etc) or chicken if you prefer








Cooking Instructions:

  • Dice scotch bonnet, bell pepper, onion and set aside.

  • Cook assorted meat with seasoning for 20mins (add a lot of water)

  • Add diced pepper, onion, scotch bonnet, scent leaves and pepper soup spice. Stir and allow to cook for another 5 minutes.

  • Add yam and cook till it's soft and add water if needed.
